Race for Grace team members help raise almost $50,000 for GCH

Since 2007, Race for Grace (R4G) has continued to be our largest annual fundraiser to benefit Grace Children’s Hospital (GCH). Starting as a small group of cyclists riding in the annual Hotter ‘n Hell 100 in Wichita Falls, TX in late August, the event has grown to include children, youth, and supporters of all ages who wish to walk, run, swim or contribute in any way to raise funds.

In spite of increased unrest and instability in Haiti over the past 3 years, GCH has kept its doors open, still seeing thousands of patients each month, when so many hospitals have closed.

This year, R4G participants in the Hotter ‘n Hell 100 (the largest one day endurance cycling event in the US) were recognized in the HH100 2024 guide that is distributed to each cyclist.

The GCH booth attracted a lot of visitors who were not only interested in learning more about the hospital’s work but were also buying raffle tickets (to win a bike) and jerseys to wear at the event. The event was a great opportunity to pass out informational brochures to interested participants and raise money for GCH!

Other R4G events in other communities around the US are continuing through 2024. They involve young children who are doing a myriad of activities, scout troops and other fellow community members who are coming together to raise awareness of global healthcare inequities and the work of Grace Children’s Hospital. Race for Grace is an opportunity for everyone to improve their own health while helping to improve the health of children and families in Haiti. This year, the Race for Grace fundraiser has raised nearly $50,000 for Grace Children’s Hospital. Maybe, next year, we can reach $100,000?
